Description

The journalist continues his examination of Edwardian Britain, focusing on the tensions caused by the suffragettes, the liberation of Ireland from the British empire, and the dockers and miners' struggle for better working and pay conditions. In the corridors of power, Winston Churchill and David Lloyd George drew the strategy for the prospect of the First World War, while out on the streets, people were eager for battle. On a lighter note, men took to the skies in their magnificent flying machines for the first time and future Hollywood stars Charlie Chaplin and Stan Laurel toured the British music halls together.
