Description

Andrew Marr examines Britain's role in the Second World War, beginning with the Battle of Dunkirk in 1940. The nation faced a possible German invasion, but Winston Churchill delivered the words that stirred the Blitz spirit and hardened public resolve. The journalist also sheds new light on how the Battle of Britain was efficiently controlled and commanded and how the population maintained morale despite devastating German airborne attacks.
