Description

The impact of the ice age on the continent, which left the land covered in thick glaciers, stretching from the North Sea to the area where Holland and Germany currently stand. The change in climate would cause many new species to thrive, such as mammoths, lions, hippos, lemmings, wolverines and reindeer - animals that inhabited the frozen Danube and whose bones are still being recovered by fishing trawlers to this day. However, as the Gulf Stream caused further temperature changes, another new species arrived in Europe - humankind.
