“The Slow Poisoning of India” shows how the uses of toxic
pesticides have caused widespread congenital abnormalities in the
children of Kochinim, Kerala. The film also discusses the effects of the
rampant use of fertilizers and pesticides in decimating the ecology of
the region and how farmers are moving back to organic farming to ensure
sustained development.
