Series - Frontline

Frontline, a renowned documentary series aired on the Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the United States, has been a staple of investigative journalism since its debut in 1983. Produced at WGBH in Boston, Massachusetts, the series has tackled a wide array of domestic and international issues, ranging from terrorism and elections to environmental disasters and sociopolitical matters. With 39 seasons under its belt, Frontline has garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards for its in-depth reporting and compelling storytelling.

In 2024, Frontline made history by winning its first Oscar at the 96th Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature. The award-winning film, “20 Days in Mariupol,” was crafted by a team of AP Ukrainian journalists, showcasing the series’ commitment to excellence in journalism and storytelling.

Over the years, Frontline has produced over 750 documentaries, featuring contributions from both in-house and independent filmmakers. Approximately 200 of these documentaries are available for viewing online, providing audiences with access to a wealth of informative and thought-provoking content.
